Broadband deals normally try to win people over with a lower monthly bill or a burst of extra speed. Vodafone is dangling something rather more tangible, with new customers able to claim a £150 Gift Card when they choose one of its eligible Full Fibre packages.

That is a decent chunk of money to put towards anything from office equipment and printer supplies to the next round of energy bills. However, the giveaway is not available with every Vodafone broadband package, and only two of its fastest plans qualify.

The word “business” may make this sound like something intended solely for busy offices and companies with a meeting room full of staff. In reality, Vodafone also positions its business broadband for small and home offices with between one and nine employees, which could put it on the radar of people running a company from home.

Full Fibre 500 comes with an average download speed of around 500Mbps. Vodafone says it is suitable for workplaces with heavy everyday internet usage, cloud backups and as many as 20 connected devices.

The faster Full Fibre 900 package delivers an average download speed of around 910Mbps. It is aimed at more demanding operations where several people might be joining video calls, transferring large files or accessing online systems at the same time.

It could also suit businesses hosting their own servers or handling high-volume downloads, although the difference between the two packages will be less noticeable for lighter everyday tasks such as email and web browsing. Checking the available Vodafone packages should reveal which speeds can be supplied to the premises.

Standard packages typically include Vodafone’s Wi-Fi 6 Power Hub router. Wi-Fi 6 is designed to manage multiple connected devices more efficiently, which can be useful in a workplace where computers, phones, printers, security cameras and other smart equipment are all competing for bandwidth.

The £150 Gift Card remains the most eye-catching part of the deal. It is the sort of reward that could make switching feel considerably more worthwhile, particularly if a broadband change was already on the cards.

There are some important conditions to remember. Customers must be new to Vodafone Business Broadband and choose an eligible Full Fibre 500 or 900 plan on a 24-month contract. Full Fibre availability also depends on the address, while actual speeds can vary.

Anyone considering the switch should compare the full contract cost, check the terms governing the Gift Card and make sure the package meets their needs. It is also worth finding out when and how the reward is issued before placing an order.
