Your child’s chance to get active over October half-term

The Huddersfield Town Foundation is hosting two October half-term sport camps for primary school children living in Kirklees and Calderdale.

The two multi-sport camps, open to youngsters aged between five to 11, will take place at the Leeds Road Sports Complex and Calderdale College’s Inspire Centre on Parkinson Lane, Halifax.

Both camps will be run over three days, however, in line with current coronavirus guidelines, single day bookings will not be possible in order to maintain strict social bubbles.

A spokesperson for the registered charity also confirmed social distancing measures would be enforced at all times.

The Leeds Road camp will take place from 9.30am to 3.30pm on Monday October 26, Tuesday 27 and Thursday 29.

If you would rather register your child for the Halifax camp, that will run from 9.30am to 3.30pm on Wednesday October 28, Thursday 29 and Friday 30.

A spokesperson for The Huddersfield Town Foundation said: “Whether your child is a regular with physical activity or would just like to try some new sports, they are more than welcome to come along and make new friends in the process.

“All Town Foundation coaches are fully FA qualified, Child Safeguarding, Emergency First Aid certified and DBS/CRB checked.”

It’s £45 per child for the three-day offering and places can be booked online at eventbrite.co.uk.
