Connor Robinson’s future is set to be resolved next week with two clubs circling the halfback.
The Halifax Panthers playmaker appears set to leave the club at the end of the year, with Fax understood to have reinforced their halfback options ahead of 2022. Joe Keyes has already been unveiled by the club and further additions are expected to be confirmed in the coming weeks.
That has raised the alarm of two clubs looking for a new halfback, who are hopeful of luring the 26-year-old away from The Shay for next year.
One club is understood to have already tabled a deal for the goal-kicking half, who was named League 1 player of the year in 2018.
Robinson started his career at Hull KR before moving to Halifax and then York. With the City Knights he steered them to promotion before playing a key role in their excellent first season back in the Championship, in which they finished third.
All parties involved hope a resolution will be reached next week.
