Three men smash up cars with baseball bats in Tesco car park

Three men were caught on CCTV smashing up cars in a Tesco car park with baseball bats.

Police were called to Tesco superstore, in Haugh Shaw Road, Halifax, at 9.45pm on Monday evening.

Reports suggested a gang of three armed men were hitting cars parked outside the store.

On arrival officers viewed store CCTV, and subsequently arrested three men, aged 23 and one aged 25, on suspicion of violent disorder.

Inspector Jim Graham from Halifax Central Neighbourhood Police Team said: “We believe this to be a targeted and isolated incident.

“My officers are conducting reassurance patrols in the area. I would like to appeal to anyone who may have information about the incident yesterday to come forward.

“Our enquiries are ongoing.”
