Pizza Express has announced the 73 UK restaurants they are closing with a number of Yorkshire branches set to shut.
The high street chain has endured well-publicised financial problems in recent times. The decision to close these restaurants will put 1,100 jobs at risk. These plans have been approved by the creditors for Pizza Express.
Like many other businesses, the high street casual dining chain has seen profits greatly hit by the enforced closure of restaurants brought on by the coronavirus pandemic.
The following Pizza Express restaurants in Yorkshire will be shutting:
- Leeds – Crown Street
- Leeds – Horsforth
- Sheffield – Devonshire Street
- Sheffield – The Moor
