Spotlight on Jamocha

Everyone loves a good coffee shop, and they don’t get any better than Jamocha. This town centre treat serves up a mouth-watering mix of drinks, lunch snacks and various gorgeous goodies, all freshly prepared using locally sourced produce whenever possible.

Locals Vicky and her husband certainly know what makes a great coffee shop.  As well as all the essentials like cakes, bagels and sandwiches, there are healthy and vegan options including trendy avocado on toast.  Suppliers are selected for their provenance and quality, so you’ll find names like Brownie & Bay, Dark Woods coffee and speciality teas by Tea and the Gang. We’ve got to mention the brownies too, which come in varieties like S’Mores or salted caramel and are always a fast-selling favourite with regulars.

Vicky doesn’t do standing still, so she’s always dreaming up exciting new products and fun ideas for Jamocha.  How about a non-alcoholic cocktail? Or watch out for indulgent afternoon teas coming soon.  Looking for a different kind of gift for someone special? Look no further, because Jamocha even sells its own speciality handmade chocolates!

This is a friendly, relaxing environment and COVID-safe while its necessary, with spaced tables, screens at the counter and staff wearing masks.  Plus, the indoor seating is perfect when you need something weatherproof! Opening hours are Monday to Saturday 8am to 4pm.  Can’t get to the Northgate coffee shop?  Don’t worry, just look out for Jamocha’s sister coffee shop at Croft Myl, West Parade – open 8:30-2pm on weekdays and perfect for a pre-work brew or lunchbreak snack.
