28 Jun Spotlight on Alibi
If you’re a music fan, cocktail lover or just enjoy eating in drinking in gorgeous surroundings, you probably already know Alibi. The fact is that everything this beautiful and versatile venue does, it does well, and its reputation reflects this.
The great news is that the popular town-centre bar and restaurant is now open for business, with its signature mix of delicious food, exciting drinks menu and smooth but friendly service, all served up in gorgeous Grade II listed surroundings. The Alibi team are rightly proud of the uniqueness and quality of the overall experience here, all helped by the fact that it’s an independent business and family owned.
Localism is big, with produce bought from nearby suppliers and around 20 staff carefully picked from the Halifax community. It means your hard-earned cash goes to local businesses and people, which itself is something to celebrate. Food-wise, Alibi serves up a tantalising variety including steak nights and Sunday roasts through to its legendary ‘Bottomless Brunch’ and delicious traditional afternoon teas.
Drinkers are just as well catered for, with a wonderful range of fine wines and famous world beers, together with a full menu of expertly made cocktails and quality Champagnes. Enjoy them in the stylish main lounge, sneak away to the intimate cocktail bar or relax in the impressive Grand Salon. Music and events are a big deal here too, and you should check online for the latest programme of visiting DJs and bank holiday events. COVID-safety goes without saying, and Alibi has attractive outdoor seating for 70 people as well as distanced tables and a range of measures indoors.
