Girl sexually assaulted on bus to Halifax in broad daylight

Police are searching for a suspect after a 16-year-old girl was sexually assaulted on a bus in Calderdale in broad daylight.

The victim was attacked on the 592 service from Todmorden to Halifax town centre at about 5pm on August 4.

The suspect was described as a black male aged in his early twenties. He referred to himself as “Sam” and said he was from Bradford.

West Yorkshire Police is now appealing for anyone who was on the bus and witnessed the incident to come forward as officers search for the suspect.
