Duran Duran will be coming to Yorkshire this summer to play a huge outdoor show.
The band, famous for songs such as Rio and Girls on Film, will be taking to the stage at The Piece Hall in Halifax on Tuesday, July 5. Over the years, Duran Duran have sold more than 100 million records worldwide.
They’ve bagged 18 American hit singles and 21 UK top 20 tunes. Other Duran Duran favourites include Planet Earth and Ordinary World.
Duran Duran consists of singer Simon Le Bon, keyboardist Nick Rhodes, bassist John Taylor and drummer Roger Taylor. They have been together for more than 40 years and continue to play massive gigs around the globe.
Duran Duran join a number of big name artists who will be appearing at the Piece Hall in Halifax as part of their big summer 2022 concert series. Other performing include Paul Weller, Tom Jones, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Paloma Faith and Tom Grennan.
The summer programme is presented by Cuffe and Taylor and The Piece Hall Trust. Nicky Chance-Thompson DL, the Piece Hall Trust’s chief executive officer, said: “Once again, Cuffe and Taylor have delivered.
“Duran Duran are true global superstars and it is an absolute honour to add them to the fantastic headline line up for Live at The Piece Hall 2022. It’s been very hard for me to keep this one under my hat and there is no doubt there will be an incredible demand for tickets for this show so I would advise fans to get in quick.”
There are many other big names set to appear at the Piece Hall later this year. Others include
Nile Rodgers and Chic, Jessie Ware, Primal Scream and Pete Tong with The Heritage Orchestra.
