Vacancy for the post of Operations Manager, Halifax Minster
Located in Halifax, West Yorkshire.
2 year fixed term post, initially.
37.5 hours.
Salary – £29,500 p/a.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the successful candidate to be a key member of the Minster’s Leadership Team and shape its future and help deliver its business strategy.

Halifax Minster is part of the Church of England in the Diocese of Leeds as the Mother Church of Calderdale, serving the town of Halifax with an International Ministry to Germany and Tanzania. As a Benedictine Foundation the Minster continues to have three services every day other than Saturday which has its own rhythm. There is a strong ministry of hospitality to Pilgrims and Visitors, with many events taking place at the Minster throughout the year.

Halifax Minster is a charitable business working across Halifax and Calderdale in partnership with the Private, Public, and Third Sector to create a sustainable community for all.

All applicants must be in sympathy with the Christian faith and the ethos of the Minster as an inclusive and welcoming community for all.

Candidates must be able to evidence the following essential criteria:

  1. Level 3 or equivalent in English and Maths
  2. Excellent leadership skills, operational management and people management skills
  3. Excellent communication, team working and collaboration skills
  4. Excellent administrative, planning, organising and problem solving skills with a focus on  ‘getting the job done’
  5. Working  knowledge of Health & Safety issues, Safeguarding and Child Protection regulations.
  6. Excellent I.T skills particularly MS Office suite
  7. High level of attention to detail as was well as being receptive to the ‘bigger picture’

The post offers 28 days’ holiday inclusive of statutory bank holidays, a workplace pension and free on-site parking.

Interviews will be carried out on 29th April 2021. Candidates will also be required to carry out a short test/ presentation.
