It’s that time of year again, the moment that the ‘worst places to live’ in England are officially revealed, the poll that usually sparks heated debates amongst social media users as they rush to defend their humble abodes.
As many as 125,681 people voted for their worst place to live in England in 2021 as nation rushed to condemn the dullest and dreariest parts of the country.

Peterborough has been listed number Worst Town in England for the third year running in the tongue-in-cheek survey, with Huddersfield falling a close second.
The poll invariably stirs up some strong responses, contributors to ILivehere.co.uk said: “Not all of Huddersfield is bad… just 70% of it.”
While another said: “There’s nothing but pound shops and a few coffee shops. It’s polluted, unclean and full of idiots. It’s a horrible place to live.”
Another contributor added: “Huddersfield should be avoided by all those who desire to keep their wallets, mobile phones and most of all their sense of smell.”
But Huddersfield wasn’t the only Yorkshire town that received a bashing with Bradford receiving 4th place, followed by Hull in the 5th spot, Wakefield at numbner 10 and Halifax in the 10th spot.
